Christmas Tree 2011... Mom and I found the snowman topper and it got me thinking all things snowman...of course, I didn't hang carrots or coal on the tree, but I did make some mittens and top hats to add to the theme... they did turn out pretty good if I say so myself!
Add a scarf....

Some top hats and candy canes....
... don't forget the snow!

Be sure to wear warm mittens, too!!!   :O)
Add a little boy who steals your heart.. (and the decorations off the tree)  LOL
...talk about your "peace, love  and joy" !  Merry Christmas everyone.... and to all a good nite!  :O)

Random Rules!

Time to be random.  All these pictures were taken today.  First, Boone-kitty decided it was safe enough for a venture out of the garage. (as long as I was there to oversee and protect him from who knows what).  Here he is looking out at the flowerbed.. I think he was making sure nothing would sneak up behind him!

When all seemed safe, he decided to chill on the front porch... he was even relaxed enough to yawn... now that is what I call a yawn!

It rained this evening just before the sun set, and we were lucky enough to see this beautiful rainbow... it was just about the brightest rainbow I have ever seen!

Loved this little steer... he was just standing there with grass hanging out of his mouth.  I wonder if he was bothered that I was taking his picture???

After the rain, the sunset was amazing!  Of course, we have some really spectacular sunsets here in Utah!
So how's that for random?

Flower power

Springtime.
Time to plant.  We took a trip up "north" to the town of Benjamin to Hansen's Nursery to get some flowers.. (some flowers) LOL !  We ended up bringing home 3 palates of petunias!  Even Dad had a hard time finding places to plant all three palates... but we managed to fill every available space we could find this time.

Of course I (as always) brought along the camera to get some pictures.  You just never know when an opportunity will arise!  The marigolds really stink, but they are beneficial to the garden to keep unwanted guests away.

Don't know what this one is, but I thought it was pretty!

Plenty of flowers to choose from.. this particular nursery is only open in the spring for a few weeks, but they seem to be really busy during that time.

..and here is the wheelbarrow full of flowers to plant.

In just a few weeks, this should be very very colorful... pinks, yellow, lavender and white!

This flower has a deep purple center...
This greenhouse held garden veggies and herbs... it smelled good!  My Dad said loves the smell of a greenhouse.

Seriously, I need warmth and color... I mean winter is nice.. for awhile, but it's time for the sun to make it's appearance and start making this place come to life again!
Is anyone else waiting for Spring to arrive???
