It's a world of laughter, a world of cheer..
Yes, It is I, Stacey, the "world" traveler.... Disneyworld, that is ! Just got back from a weekend trip to Orlando with my friend, Lynn. We left the Hubbies at home and headed south for warmer weather and fun at the parks.

We stayed at Disney's Pop Century... one of the lower-end resorts, but I think it is the most fun! The buildings are designed like the 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's.....with toys, movies, and items that are representative of all the decades decorating each section. Lynn and I have stayed in the 50's, 70's and 80's during the last three years of visiting Disneyworld.

This is what you find in the area around the 70's buildings.... a 4-story Bigwheel!

The giant yo-yo is actually a stairwell that is hidden inside it. They are on all of the 60's buildings...

There is a giant Mickey telephone reminiscent of the 70's, and a field of foosball players between the buildings in the 70's as well. Jungle Book characters, Baloo and Mowgli are there, and words popular in the seventies are all along the tops of the buildings.

In the 50's section, the stairwells are giant bowling pins and there is a 4-story jukebox standing in front of a bowling pin pool! The bowling lanes iare right next to the pool, and people line their lounge chairs along side of the lanes.

Night photography is what I am really trying to master at this time, and there is a ton of things to practice on... fireworks being the most difficult for me.
I also took this pic of spaceship earth at Epcot. the dark line you see is the monorail track, and the reflection of the globe is shown in the lake. A little blurry, but I didn't have a tripod, so this is the best I could do.

Well, it is late. I will try to get some more together here in the next week or so. Until then, as Tigger says: "TTFN!" (tah tah for now).

so they say i'ts a boy....

Well, the ultrasound was done last Friday, and they say it's a boy. It is good to know that the family name will carry on... hopefully, it'll be a 3rd generation " John".... that is my pick.
The parents are both excited now to finally know, and now the process of decorating the nursery. Will it be blue? Yellow? Beige? Or perhaps "John Deere Green" ??? My guess is that the John Deere green is JD's pick. A bold color, for sure. But maybe a soft, gentle pale blue might be fitting for the first year of his life... who knows what a bright color might do to an infant....perhaps create an excitable, energetic whirlwind that cannot sit still for an instant? hmmmm?????

Lol... whatever the color, I am sure he will be most loved by all. I know a couple of aunts that are busy buying everything "boy" they can find! ... and don't forget Grandma and Grandpa Pack!..... in the South, the Grandparents are kept separated by names.... for instance, Grandma and Grandpa Pack could be called "Meemaw and Peepaw"..... ( they ryhme!) or, maybe they could be called "Mamee and Papee" lol..... just some suggestions! Of course, his favorite "auntie" will be called "Miss Stacey"... just like the propa' southun' chillin's all call thar favorite aunties.... whatever the case my be, I'll be right here in Georgia thinkin' of him everyday everyday everyday!

Until the battle of the names is solved.....
