Following in his Daddy's footsteps
Another thing JD has taught Johnny is to put his hands in his pockets... he is so cute when he follows his dad around walkin' with his hands in his pockets! I gave him a dollar and told him to put it in his pocket, he did, and kept finding it and showing it to me, then put it back into his little pocket... he is such a doll !!
Hey, the shades can only increase my coolness!

Planting season is here again... It was a beautiful March day, temps were warm, and Dad was home (for a change)! Allison and Kaylee were both here for the weekend, so we all went out and began working the soil getting it ready for all the "root" veggies.... peas, onions, turnips, rutabagas, potatoes, turnips and the like...
Here is Dad getting the rows ready to plant....
Even Kaylee got into the gardening spirit by helping place the onions in the rows!

... and here are some of the peas we are going to plant!
Allison is getting a row ready for the onions... yellow, white and purple (or red) .
The garden will look great this summer against the backdrop of Mount Nebo!
Isn't it cute???
Happy Gardening Y'all !!!

A different view of winter
I have always enjoyed looking at photos that show the snow on the red sandstone in the Bryce Canyon and Zions National Park areas... of course, the professionals that take those pictures are able to be in the right place at the right time it seems. I have wanted to take pictures like that for as long as I can remember.
One weekend, I got an urge to do just that. So, I asked Mom if she would like to join me, and off we went. We drove down to Bryce Canyon and got there just about sunset... of course, it being as late as it was, the light just wasn't what I wanted, so we stayed the night at Ruby's Inn. It has been around since the early 1900's... very nice hotel. Mom and I were able to spend some quality time together and admire some of God's greatest work yet !
This was taken near sunrise the next morning... I would've liked to have had a little more sunlight, but you get what you can get, right?
On the way back home coming through Red Canyon, I spied these interesting tracks.... I am not sure, but they look to be bunny tracks.... what do you think?
On another note, as I was browsing thru the images on my CF card, I came across this one of my little nephew munching on popcorn and watching a movie as Katie and I were packing up her house for the big move to Roosevelt... and, as I have said many many times before, isn't he just the cutest li'l guy you've ever seen?? :O)
